Georgia is not a member of the European Union or the Schengen Area, but it maintains liberal entry policies and allows visa-free travel for citizens of many countries.
EU nationals: Citizens of European Union and EEA countries may enter Georgia with either a valid passport or a national identity card for stays of up to one year. Documents must be valid for the duration of the stay.
Non-EU nationals: To enter Georgia, visitors must hold a passport that is valid for the duration of their stay. While Georgia does not require a specific minimum validity period beyond the planned date of departure, travellers are strongly advised to have at least six months' validity remaining to avoid any issues with airlines or onward travel.
